Big White release “Street Talk”. Tour the U.S.A.
Big White today announce the March 30th release of their sophomore album, Street Talk, via Spunk Records – thirty-five minutes of energetic and muscular indie pop rock tunes evoking the best of 80s English post-punk, new wave Australian rock with a distinctly modern voice. The band have also shared a new taste of the album with single and video ‘How Did You Find Out?’, premiering via Culture Collide.
Street Talk is a marked maturation from Big White’s debut, 2016’s Teenage Dreams, with tight, punchy pop hooks and incisive lyrics that display a cohesion and confidence as a band that can only be achieved from extended time on the road.
Singer/guitarist Cody Munro Moore says of the album: “Street Talk is varied in images and anecdotes. Everyone lives within their own little frame and many of these songs are just that, small afternoons, rushed by evenings, late into the night and woken up early in the morning.”
Street Talk brings together the eclectic influences of all five members of Big White – particularly main songwriters (and vocalists) Cody, Nick and Jack, who have spent much time over the past two years also working on personal music projects Cody Munro Moore (solo), High Tails and Jack Wotton and The Wunderz.
Big White head to the US shortly for east and west coast shows and SXSW and then return to OZ for full tour!
