The Graceless Age may be  John Murry‘s debut proper, but it’s obvious listening to his incredible record that its songs and stories were a long time coming. The  Mississippi born musician crafted the album over four years, travelling between San Francisco and Memphis as he layered strings, slide guitar, upright piano and choral vocals to its 11 songs. A total heartbreaker. The UK press have been freaking over it (UNCUT gave it 9/10)! We’ll release the album on Friday October 19. Here’s its opener, ‘Ballad of The Pajama Kid’.
