Julia Holter’s new album, Ekstasis is hard to pin down – as thoughtful and complex as it is flat-out gorgeous. Mixing pop and ambient beats with bedroom produced synths and almost medieval vocal arrangements, it draws from many influences to sound completely of its own design. Below, she performs the album’s songs live in NYC for NPR.
