Frontman, writer and guitarist to My Morning Jacket for fifteen years, one quarter of Monsters of Folk and a prolific collaborator, Jim James will release his very first solo LP, Regions of Light and Sound of God on Friday February 1. “I wanted the album to sound like it came from a different place in time,” says Jim of the LP, which pairs hazy funk with ’70s soul and classic R&B influences.
