New artist: Stolen Violin
Stolen Violin is Jordan Ireland. Known previously for his work with The Middle East, Jordan has been writing and recording his debut as Stolen Violin.
The album is ‘Temperate Touch, Tropical Tears’: a collection of songs which veer from sparse and melodic (‘New Amnesia Skies’) to raw (‘Short Cuts To True Love’ and ‘Floorboards’) via the wild, loose, emotional swing of songs such as ‘Romance At The Petrol Station’ and ‘When They Put It All on Red’.
Recorded mostly on 8-track cassette by Jordan with good friend Jake Core, ‘Temperate Touch, Tropical Tears’ came together inside a suburban Melbourne shed and was completed with the assistance of Machine Translations’ Greg Walker.
Pre-orders for the vinyl are available now. All those who pre-order vinyl will receive a free digital download upon ordering.
