The Redlands release first single “Falling Down” for Cheatin’ Hearts Records

The Redlands are childhood friends Samuel Nairn (vocals) and Cousins Chase Williams (lead guitar) and Dean Williams (guitar/piano).  Formed in 2019, after years of playing live together around North West Victoria and taking their cues from songwriting giants like Dylan, Cave and Isbell, the trio gatecrashed the local country scene in 2020 with their barnstorming first single ‘Cocaine’ – a soaring reflection on the ups and downs of living fast and loose in a country town.

Following their recent signing to Cheatin’ Hearts Records comes the band’s first single for the label with the foot-stompin’ ‘Falling Down’.  Joined by Hamish Davidson (Fiddle/Banjo), Jy-Perry Banks (Steel Guitar), Michael Hood (Drums), Rory Walker (Bass) and Grace Phelan on backing vocals, The Redlands will have you chanting ‘Falling Down’ and wanting plenty more by the time you’re done.

The Redlands brand of raw Australiana feels both timeless, yet completely contemporary at the same time, and with more honky-tonk barn-burners and gut-wrenching ballads to come in 2021 (via Cheatin’ Hearts Records/Spunk!), The Redlands are set to make some serious noise in the local country scene and beyond.
